Launched in April 2009 on Earth Day, Cool Planet Kids is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Darren Santos and Yoana Georgieva. The inspiration for the company was spawned from a deep-rooted respect for the planet and its many resources. Darren’s family instilled the values of living in harmony with the environment at an early age. Today, Darren regularly commutes to work by bike 50 miles each week, eats organic foods and teaches yoga. Yoana was raised in a small town along the Danube river where locals have for generations regarded the land and its resources as precious assets. A pursuit of the unconventional and a love of travel and adventure are hallmarks of Yoana’s life.
Motivated by a desire to bring people together in a higher level of eco-consciousness, Darren and Yoana created Cool Planet Kids. Our line of clothing and accessories encourages people to help protect the environment. We believe our message is best communicated through children, for whom the planet is their future.
Our clothing is made of high-quality organically-grown cotton materials. We practice sustainable processes in how we source, manufacture and distribute that help advance the welfare of people, their communities and the environment. Everything we do is inspired by the notion that mind, body and spirit must be in balance. This balance is a cornerstone for achieving the consciousness required to create a positive future for our children’s planet.
